The first rainfall....

We saw the clouds coming; it even smelt like rain! We were in our rooms and heard the thunder, seconds later the heavens let loose. So naturally, we were out the door in two seconds, in our running clothes, playing/running in the rain! After we were completely soaked, which really didn’t take long (the rain drops were gigantic, and it was coming down so heavy and thick! It was so cool!) ,e decided we would run over to the boys house and see if we could find someone to play with. They opened the door, and Senora, their “mom”, freaked out. She made us get inside and dry off. She absolutely could not believe we were in the rain. (I think she actually thought we were running and got caught in it, not deliberately running in the rain…opps!) It was really funny, and she was way sweet. She would not budge nor listen to the idea that we liked playing in the rain! (Actually, everyone here is scared of the rain. They have no drainage system and the whole city goes crazy when it even looks like rain.) Needless to say we did not find anybody to come and play with us, and on top of that our play time got cut short! The boys and us still laugh about it!!!
