Can you believe it?! June already??? Today’s Monday and we just got back from el noche de hogar, FHE, followed by the oh-so-fabulous Monday night churro run! I swear they’re the best churros in all of mexico, well, that I’ve tasted at least.
For FHE tonight we had practice for the upcoming talent show! (did I tell you about that – it’s turning into quite the production actually!)We had a pizza party to kick-off the rehearsal with and can I tell you, pizza’s never tasted so good in my entire life! J The practice went really well, I am so excited for Saturday. So what it is, Saturday’s production, is basically a talent show night, however, I think they are officially calling it an international night…it’s kind of our way to give back to the community, part of us and part of who we are. They’re lots of dancing and singing ( we’re doing Thriller, Boot Scootin’ Boogie…both very popular and very American – I especially thought Thriller was an interesting choice… “here, let me show you what American culture is like, introducing crazy Michael Jackson and his zombie dance!” its way fun though, and I admit, we are not that bad! I’m also doing a clogging routine and then towards the end of the program things shift to a more spiritual setting, and there’s a group of four of us who are singing “I Know my Redeemer Lives” a capella in Spanish! )
I have a bunch of old posts that I’ve been meaning to post, but their a bit dated, so here's a bit of a flash back….
